Dr. Highsmith received his DDS from the UNC School of Dentistry and his GPR at Baltimore VAMC. In private practice in Clyde, NC since 1985, Dr. Highsmith has published widely on restoration procedures. He is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a diplomat for the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a fellow at the Misch Implant Institute, and an LVI Clinical Instructor.
