Jay Gerber, DDS, ABPM, FICCMO

LVI LiveDr. Gerber is the founder of the Center for Occlusal Studies and currently serves as its clinical & educational director. He is board certified in Pain Management and maintains a medical/dental staff position at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV.

Dr. Jay has clinically treated 1,000’s of patients since the early 1980’s using the principles of Neuromuscular Dentistry. He has designed and has used the Gerber EMG Orthosis in has private practice which is for the exclusive treatment of orthodontic and TMD patients. Dr. Gerber is recognized as one of early innovators of neuromuscular functional orthodontics and for the applications of the ‘EMG Guided’ bite registrations.

He has lectured in the USA and internationally at numerous Symposiums, Conventions and at distinguished Universities since 1984 on the subjects of functional jaw orthopedics, orthodontic finishing, TMD diagnosis and treatment, dental radiology, physical modalities including TENS, neuromuscular functional occlusion and bioelectrical instrumentation using Myotronics and BioResearch instrumentation.

Dr. Jay Gerber is one of a select few certified Senior Instructors for the International Association for Orthodontics, the largest group of non-specialty dentists in the world practicing orthodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and numerous orthodontic and TMD related associations. He has served as instructor for numerous physical therapy programs and remains active in the education of local health care providers for the treatment of TMD and related dysfunctions.

Dr. Gerber has made a commitment to stable, pain free neuromuscular correction and long-term occlusal stability. He currently maintains a private practice in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
