As the office evolves to include a more comprehensive protocol and allows the patients to experience the benefits of better comprehensive care, there are a variety of common obstacles. This three-day team program is designed to allow the practice to embrace new systems and changes, and to enable the practice to develop excellent patient management for Neuromuscular Care.
The objectives of this course are for the participant to be able to:
- Understand the physiological connection between a poor bite & systemic disease.
- Understand the team’s role in education and treatment in comprehensive health.
- Recognize and overcome clinical obstacles.
Additional topics to be addressed:
- Troubleshooting the T.E.N.S.
- Assisting with the predictable delivery of NM orthotics
- Fabrication of a Stent
- Assisting with Orthotic Bite Transfers
“I knew that the NM approach made so much more sense, but had a hard time getting my patients to hear what I was saying. The big leap happened when I helped my team to be able to talk with patients and begin the process. That is the power of the Core IV Team course – the team learns how to tee up the ball – and all I have to do is allow it to happen! We used to hope for a case once a week and now there isn’t a day that doesn’t have something NM happening - very cool!” — Dr. Drew Markham, Huntsville, ON
