Course Type: Practical Advanced TMD Curriculum

***The June 20-22, 2024 date will be offered on campus and online.***
You’ve completed the Core Programs. You should now be able to diagnose and treat simple TMD cases. But there is so much more!

This course is designed to teach the components of the real world TMD evaluation, head and neck pathology, importance of posture and TMJ and cervical decompression. We will discuss comprehensive evaluation, head and neck radiographic evaluation and how to decompress the TMJ and recapture the disc, even if in a closed lock. We will also discuss how to help your patients eliminate poor posture and FHP in order to make your orthotic functional. You will also have the opportunity to help solve advanced problem cases. We will also be reviewing and discussing difficult cases that the Dr. Dickerson’s have helped make successful with their mentoring.

This is an absolute prerequisite to trying to properly diagnose and treat TMD patients. It also is necessary to repeat this course as the material changes, improves and the vast amount of information is impossible to absorb at once. LVI has continued to provide “discomfort” to what I don’t know, thus creating an overwhelming desire to continue learning and improving. Enthusiasm and excellence has led to more successful business for me. Thanks!

    Dr. Douglas Hanson

Just wanted to take a minute and comment on my recent time at LVI. I feel like I say this every time I leave but I really believe that this was one of the best courses I have ever taken. So far this morning I have used something that I learned from that course on every patient. I can’t thank you enough for endeavoring to keep improving the techniques to achieve better and better outcomes. The team of lecturers was absolutely perfect and I feel fortunate to have been in such great company. Thank you, Bill for all that you do. My experience at LVI has largely made dentistry my hobby.

    Dr. Michael DesRosiers

Got back two weeks ago from updating PAT 1 and I have to say it was one of the best courses I have taken. I have been applying all the new stuff and it is amazing how great the bites are. Thank you for the great course you guys have put together. For those of you in the Core programs… this course puts it all together and opens your eyes to how simple and predictable this can be.

    Dr. Babak Firouzi

What an amazing class! This class tied many things together. I feel much more confident now in treating the difficult cases.

    Dr. Brian McDowell

Excellent review and update of new techniques and procedures. Had become complacent with doing things as I had learned. TekScan/BioPAK protocol for adjustments is brilliant, ultimate scan will make case presentation so much easier. Thank you! Love what I do every day due to my experience with LVI. It has been life-changing for me.

     Dr. Robert Logan

Physiologic patient care has benefited our practice immensely. Patients and staff and doctors have clear goals and direction and are able to create successful outcomes to our TMJ and other dental therapies. I am a so much better dentist and feel I understand so much clearer what I can do to help my patients have very satisfactory and successful outcomes in my TMJ/restorative dental practice

    Dr. Scott LeSueur

You were all awesome and clearly worked so hard to put this all together. I originally took the course 3 years ago. No doubt, the course material and topics discussed was nothing like it was 3 years ago! I learned a ton that I can use the next day i’m in the office. I’m so happy to have chosen to audit it. If you were like me and its been awhile since you took it consider auditing it.

    Dr. Brian Davidson

PAT 1 was awesome. I am so thankful for Bill and LVI for continuing to evolve and being the best dental education out there. It just keeps getting better and the bar keeps raising higher! Thanks to all the instructors.

    Dr. Jon Van Slate

Thank you for a wonderful and fun learning experience. You never disappoint! We get new information, clarification of establishment concepts and procedures and reaffirmation that we are in the right learning venue. You have reignited my passion for dentistry!  And that is priceless. Thank you!
