Beginners Orthodontics
Course Type: Orthodontics Curriculum
This course is designed to teach the general dental practitioner how to implement comprehensive orthodontics from start to finish in their own practice. You have patients in your practice that can benefit from orthodontic treatment and you can start the day you return to your office! This intense three day course includes basic orthodontic theory, orthodontic records, recognizing and diagnosing malocclusion, instrumentation, bracket and wire selection and case finishing. There will be a typodont workshop for hands-on bracket and wire placement and basic orthodontic mechanics. Offices are strongly encouraged to bring cases so that we can diagnosis and treatment plan them together.

The Objectives of this course are for the participant to be able to:
- Make proper case selection to fit the skill set of the less experienced orthodontist
- Properly diagnose and treat basic malocclusions from start to finish in both adults and children
- Recognize the predisposition to malocclusion in young developing patients
